I'm not sure if this is related, but I have had weird death/map issues today several different games. One instance, I was killed, optioned to respawn, and went to the map view to choose my spawn location. I tried to left-stick to the closest auto click spawn point, but nothing would "snap" to a location. Instead, the map just scrolled as it would with the right stick controller. After several seconds of this, I noticed that my respawn countdown was set to --:--:-- or something similar. That's when I noticed that none of the default spawn locations had the typical blue blinking circles. After a few more seconds, I'm suddenly in game again where I died. It took me a moment to realize that I was alive and in action, but I tried to sprint forward and fire a round or two when I suddenly dropped dead. I was never given the loadout screen, nor could I select a spawn location. It was as if I was experiencing some major lag or something---enough to technically be killed, enter the map screen, sit for at least 6 seconds, return to the game, recognize my position, motion, then the death caught up to me. Except... there was no lag during the game. I only lost the one fitting.
Another oddity: running through a skirmish, I ADS on my Tactical AR. As my character runs the motion of pulling the gun up, my sceen goes black, the reticle comes up on a back screen, vanishes, the overview map comes up, then the listing of team players comes up. By the time I am able to get control of the interface, I'm dead. While that's probably not related, it was still pretty weird.
I've seen several posts the last few days of players noticing the player lists randoming popping up. I finally experienced it today during several games. The connection to this particular thread, I guess, is that my map seemed to be coming up as randomly, or when I pull it up for repsawn, options that would normally be there are not available as in the first example.
Idunno. Whatever is going on, it was odd enough and frequent enough to get my attention today. I've been playing for several months and have not experienced this, otherwise I'd dismiss it to my clumsiness.
+1 to ingame bug reports. At least it would be fresh in mind, mid-game, and all the important information like game type, map, timestamps, etc., would be automatically recorded. |
